MAD Camp I: Song of the Cebu
For grades 3-5, MAD Camp I is designed with our youngest campers in mind. Students will help create a ten-minute script that they will perform at the end of the week, based on the VeggieTales silly song Song of the Cebu. Campers can also choose between various other art forms to explore including drawing, painting, videography, and sculpting! Students will take a trip over to the Art House on Wednesday.
MAD Camp II: The Pirate’s Life for Me
For grades 6-8, and 5th graders who have participated in MAD Camp before, MAD Camp II campers spend their entire week focusing on the production aspect of theatre. This year, they’ll be working on a 40 minute musical called The Pirate’s Life For Me. Campers spend their time in rehearsal or working on theatre techniques. They also take their faith a step further by learning how drama and worship work hand in hand.
Tech Camp for students entering Grades 5-8: Interested in theatre, but want to focus behind the scenes instead of on the stage? Tech camp allows campers in grades 5-8 to explore the various aspects of technical theatre, from lighting and sound, to running crew and building sets. Campers will be part of technical crew for both the MAD Camp I and II shows, along with working on their own individual tech projects throughout the week. Tech campers unavailable for both show dates can still attend camp!
Campers bring a zero-waste lunch—one where containers can be recycled or reused.
